Are you in the position to do the same for speech-dispatcher?
The position is much different. Less knowledge of the software, less usage experience. Basic testing comprises launching a command "spd-say hello" and listening to the speaker. I believe this gives a good probability that the whole package works correctly. Then I would try to run orca. I'll try to do some more testing and if I find anything, will wrote the guide too. If one has other suggestions for the testing of the package, please send it to me directly or to the list. I'll put the pieces together.
