Apt-cache shows the at-spi packages depends on libatk. blackbox:~# apt-cache show at-spi Package: at-spi Version: 1.30.1-3 Installed-Size: 1688 Maintainer: Debian GNOME Maintainers <pkg-gnome-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org> Architecture: i386 Replaces: libatspi-dev (<< 1.6.0-2) Depends: gconf2 (>= 2.28.1-2), libatk1.0-0 (>= 1.29.3), libatspi1.0-0 (>= 1.30.1), libbonobo2-0 (>= 2.15.0), libc6 (>= 2.3.6-6~), libcairo2 (>= 1.2.4), libdbus-1-3 (>= 1.0.2), libdbus-glib-1-2 (>= 0.78), libfontconfig1 (>= 2.8.0), libfreetype6 (>= 2.2.1), libgconf2-4 (>= 2.27.0), libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.24.0), libgtk2.0-0 (>= 2.19.7), libice6 (>= 1:1.0.0), liborbit2 (>= 1:2.14.10), libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.14.0), libsm6, libx11-6, libxtst6, libgail-common It's clear something isn't right. How does a package contain a file that's supposed to be part of another package? I'm not critisizing anyone, just trying to understand and help make the next debian release have the best access to the gui. Like it or not, more and more things are only possible with a gui app.
