Hi. Prompted by the recent post about gnome-speech-swift, I wanted to remind people that gnome-speech is going away in the foreseeable future. This is one of the CORBA-deprication casualties.
This also means that support for swift, ibmtts and dectalk software backends will go away as well. I haven't investigated if speech-dispatcher allows for policy-compliant addons for commercial speech synths yet. Do the speech-dispatcher maintainers plan to support non-free speech backends in the Debian packaging? -- CYa@DebConf11, ⡍⠁⠗⠊⠕ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-accessibility-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
