Greetings,

I can silence yasr from the keyboard:
  alt-enter Disable yasr. Yasr is silent and ignores all keys when
             disabled. Press again to re-enable. Note: this key
             is defined in the [options] section as "DisableKey"

But supposing I have a program which does its own talking,
is there a way it can silence yasr programatically ?

(I.e. corresponding to
  echo 7 > /sys/accessibility/speakup/silent
 in speakup ?
)

Regards,  Peter Billam
