Maybe you should try it again? At least for the missing audio output driver like libao a bug was filed by me. Original report - #597964: build missing audio output drivers you are right that autospawn issue should be reported. Afaik the autospawn problem was diskused in this list and Hynek posted some patches which should fix that. I am not sure if they got applied in the debian package or not. BR.
