There are quite a few more such things that deserve documenting, I think: making grub beep, putting speakup or brltty in initrd, etc. I'm used to gather such tips in http://brl.thefreecat.org/wiki/ but we should probably put them in a more well-known place. I'm thinking about places like an "accessibility configuration" part of the debian installation guide, or just have a wiki page.
