AFAIK killall does not support regexp (cf man killall). You could use the shell's wildcards fonctionnality, but it doesn't seems to be usable in this case (bash does file completion but not process completion).
also ctr+alt+backspace kills an xserer.

Yep. If you installed a display manager ([g,k,w,x]dm) under debian, it restarts X11 automatically.
