We are not - by any means - at the stage where the installation of Debian on 30 year old hardware is beginner friendly. There is still a lot of work to be done and I think it is fair that anyone enthusiastic enough to install Debian on such exotic hardware, should be able to set up a serial console. It will require much more testing, development and bug fixing to get the installer on m68k to a state where we can consider it user friendly. > Especially on Amigas with CIAs soldered can become a real issue when a wrong > serial cable will be used. > So the preferred option should always be to not depend on additional hardware > such as serial consoles. I understand your concern but we don't have the manpower to make everything as polished as you would expected from a release on supported architectures. Adrian -- .''`.
