Linux version 3.12.0-rc6 (administrator@dibsi) (gcc version 4.8.1 (GCC) ) #11 Wed Oct 23 19:57:32 CEST 2013

but the attached config has

# Linux/m68k 3.12.0-rc4 Kernel Configuration

Which one is correct?

Anyway, I took your config, enabled Atari and ARAnyM support, and build
a kernel using a locally modified v3.12-rc6 source tree.
Booted fine on ARAnyM.

I don't get any kobject messages.

You probably did not enable DEBUG_KOBJECT ... another hint that the active config does not match IJ's -rc4 one.

I'm a bit worried about the stack depth message at the end - never really seen that before. Reentrant interrupts eating up kernel stack?

Cheers,

        Michael

In personal conversations with technical people, I call myself a hacker. But when I'm talking to journalists I just say "programmer" or something like that.
