I want to get a 3.3V PCI card to run in VGA mode (And these days 3.3V PCI is
Nvidia or ATI ). The 68K's traditionally do a switch to a frame buffer. Can
anyone point out the best thread to follow to bring up a Nvidia PCI card as
initial console? I see where we go to serial console.(2.6.23-cf) I am
somewhat unfamiliar with distro creation.
You will have to run the BIOS code on the graphics card using an x86
emulator first.
Does the kernel ATI or Nvidia framebuffer code rely on OF init on PowerPC?
Otherwise, you could do what the Mac framebuffer code does.
