Hello, I had a try with a 2.6.20 kernel, the kernel compiles without problems but won't boot complaining about the root device. I have somme messages on the screen :
Cannot open root device sdb3 or unknown-block(8,19) Please append a correct "root=" boot option Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS Unable to mount root fs on unknown block(8,19) I saw some messages on init for scsi devices such as sdb: sense not available sd 0:0:4:0 rejectiong I/O to offline device sdb: Write protect is off sd 0:0:4:0 rejecting I/O to offline device sdb: asking for cache data failed sdb: assuming drive cache: write through sd 0:0:4:0 Attached scsi device disk sdb ...... followed by the same kind messages with sdc and 0:0:6:0 was preceeded by same messages for sda .... "root" is on sdb3 with a "correct" root=/dev/sdb3 option which works very well with other kernels before 2.6.20 (eg 2.6.18 ...). As the keyborad driver is broken since 2.6.18 I can see that the system is not full dead but reacting to some keyboard events, but I can't send a proper reboot to access messages with dabug after the reboot. I saw a message on the list where a 2.6.20 kernel was ok on exactly the same configuratiog : A2000, Blizzard 060 ... Any ideas ?
