I would test that, only I always have to disable keyboard and MIDI ACIA
handshake line toggles. I was working on a proper fix for that when the
physical chemistry lab section struck.

I'll check what I have on my Falcon. Just put the old clock module back,
that'll keep it from overclocking.

The zip might have similar trouble. I'd send you a Zip but I only have a
spare 110V power brick for it :-(

I know - there are adapters to convert the narrow IDE to the regular
cable; there also should be narrow cables with more than one connector.

With two adapters (male, narrow > female; male > female, narrow) and a
regular cable you should be able to pull this off. ISTR people did attach
an IDE CD-ROM to a Falcon before.

If all else fails, I'll copy some stuff to a SCSI zip or disk and mail it
:-)
