To name names: /etc/popularity-contest.conf mentions /usr/share/popularity-contest/default.conf for more options and that has # Local overrides are in /etc/popularity-contest.conf MAILTO="[EMAIL PROTECTED]" So you copy that line to your /etc/popularity-contest.conf and change it to root and there you go.
