I gave it a try, but it was only partially successful. Booting went fine, but the Kernel used the afb framebuffer. Due to the scan ranges of my monitor, I did not see anything on the screen. Keyboard seems to work. I managed to log in (blindly...) and save a log from dmesg in a file. Loading the cirrusfb module using modprobe did not result in a display on the screen. I added cirrusfb to my modules file and rebooted - again nothing on the screen. Logging into the box from the network did not work either (does work with 2.4.27 kernel). So my testing capabilities are rather limited. All I can offer are two output files from dmesg attached to this message (first one without cirrusfb in modules, second one with). How can I concince the kernel to use cirrusfb instead of afb? Is there an option for amiboot like video=clgen for the 2.4.27 kernel? >- IDE buddha (and gayle, but that > probably worked in -4 already) boot problem - mac SCSI fix > - amiga keymaps should work again > > I hope I did not forget anything, but the rumor is, there will another > upload soon. > > Christian > > Best Regards, Peter
