That would be logical, but this is Apple, after all. The powerbook line predates the PowerPC processor. The PowerBook 100 used a 68HC000, and all the other 3 digit numbered models used various 68k based processors as well. The first ppc model was the 5300, I think. For the most part, a 3 digit number is 68k and a 4 digit number is ppc. The ones without numbers are usually obvious in other ways. Brad Boyer [EMAIL PROTECTED]
