It could (and probably should) be added to the boot-floppies. But it wouldn't do much good, we are missing some SCSI CD-Rom devices, which has been fixed in CVS a long time ago, but no new bf version has been released, so unless you use the boot-floppies built from CVS, nobody will notice that its fixed...
