Its just the mac, dude... there are audio drivers for amiga and atari, and I think q40 as well. To "you", just use the debian tools to find it: wajig search cdplay cdtool - some text-based commands for managing a CD wmcdplay - A CD player based on ascd designed for WindowMaker gstreamer-misc - Collection of various GStreamer plugins libwings-dev - Window Maker's own widget set Also try: wajig search player | grep cd wajig detail cdtool Package: cdtool Priority: optional Section: sound Installed-Size: 160 Maintainer: Martin Mitchell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Architecture: i386 Version: 2.1.5-4.1 Depends: libc6 (>= 2.2.4-4) Filename: pool/main/c/cdtool/cdtool_2.1.5-4.1_i386.deb Size: 36714 MD5sum: 69ec3836d0d8607f9831b2f0b85462c5 Description: some text-based commands for managing a CD cdtool contains cdplay, cdeject, cdstop, cdpause, and several other utilities that let you control your CD-ROM drive from a command line. Also, it comes with cdir, a utility that uses a workman-style database to keep track of the contents of different CDs. It now includes a commandline utility for controlling a CD-ROM called cdctrl. Not sure if that actually outputs to the sound hardware or just to the CD-Rom headphones, and which of those you want. If you want to use your Amiga speakers, I think you have to use grip or xmms.
