Again, everything I've read cautions against partitioning with fdisk - and suggests you use the MacOS partitioner instead. Whether this is just because fdisk is less friendly, and makes it less obvious what you will break if you are a pointy-clicky mac type, or because fdisk has problems on macs, I don't know ... Ian
