I believe the mac has a special key sequence (Apple-ctrl-C I think) to boot from CD. However, I am pretty sure that doesn't work for booting to debian. What you want to do is boot to MacOS first, then start linux from the Penguin bootstrap loader. It should all be in the docs for debian. If you've got a standard m68k debian CD, the Penguin booter should be on there somewhere, under a mac subdirectory, somewhere pretty near the root (I am a work, so I'm doing this from memory). There's also a mac install document, which tells you what to do. Basically, the first step is to install the minimum boot system onto your hard disk, then boot from there into linux.
