Hi Kuziwa Thanks for getting in touch, sorry to hear you missed DebConf16!
The Debian Conference is an international conference. It was held in Cape Town this year, but it moves around - next year it is in Montreal, Canada. The main place for information is at http://debconf.org/, but there are many ways to get involved. As an added incentive, getting involved, and staying involved, means you could be part of about half of the attendees that may get bursaries to attend the conference anywhere in the world. Getting involved can be through becoming a Debian Developer, or through helping with Publicity, or translating the documentation in Debian - the possibilities are endless! In terms of getting involved locally, I'd recommend joining the local user groups. I am part of CLUG - the Cape Linux Users' group, but there are many across South Africa and beyond. Some are listed here (internal working wiki): https://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf16/DebianDayMessy#Who_are_the_local_community_stakeholders.3F Please feel free to get in touch off-mailing list if you need help. regards Bernelle (indiebio) On Mon, Jul 18, 2016 at 8:58 PM, Kuziwa Sachikonye < nyashasachiko...@gmail.com> wrote: > Greetings, I hope that this email finds you well.
