Dear all I've written a stub of an announcement/blogpost about DebConf16 closing, to be published tomorrow Saturday (after the closing ceremony):

Given the material we have by tomorrow's afternoon, we'll see if we publish it via announcement (www.debian.org/News), blogpost (in bits.debian.org) or both (same content, or different content each). In any case, we would need: * A quote from the DC16 local team (and the author) * If somebody can estimate the hours of talks and number of events (if not, I can try to make some numbers during Saturday morning) * A quote from the DC17 local team welcoming people to DebConf17 (and the author) * 2 or 3 talks/BoFs or events that you consider particularly remarkable ("Highlights"). * The group photo, or a photo to post in bits.debian.org article. * English proofread, if possible. Any contribution is welcome, directly to the pad or in this mailing thread. I'll go on working on this during Saturday morning.
