It's the most normal thing for me since ever to carry a half-liter plastic bottle with me and refill it with tap water. I did that in Romania, Italy, France and Banja Luka.
Do we have a "what to bring" page? How about: * water bottle: The tap water in the youth hostel and in general in Germany has excellent drinking quality. Many Germans are used to fill a bottle with tap water and drink it during the day.
