Umh, although I like the idea, I'm not entirely convinced about this. Yes, we could label any surplus we have this year as part of the DC13 travel fund, but that will also mean a reversal in the priorities we assign money - First to pay for the venue, second for the hotel+food. Next year's conference will be more expesive than this one, and we don't know yet how easy it will be to get sponsors. We are optimist, yes, but we have to reach a quite high number before being able to say we can sponsor travel.
