I need to be near my house early in the AM for an appointment so I am heading back now. I just wanted to send a report back.
I finished the wikis for the talk meister position and have sent out to Debconf-announce but I am waiting for it to be approved. Two or three volunteers not here have pinged me to see where things stand, so I also sent the talk meister wiki and the front desk wiki to the 20 volunteer names I have (some of those are on debconf-announce, others are not). So the two wikis for volunteering are: http://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf10/Front_Desk_Sign-up http://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf10/Talk_Meister Finally, we will have a second front desk by the Computer Science Department entrance. Once I find out the hours and other logistics, I will start a wiki for staffing that area. I am somewhat concerned that we won't be able to find enough volunteers for a second front desk. Any suggestions as to how we can recruit even more volunteers would be appreciated.
