Hi, The local based talk team with consultation/inpspiration from some non-local folks (Martin Kraft, Michael Bank) have decided that we would like to include "tracks" as part of our call for contributions.
You can see the current call for contributions here (http://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf10/CallForContributions) as well as a glossary of terms (http://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf10/TalkGlossary). This statement by Daniel Kahn Gillmore best explains how we see them functioning and why we are learning toward using "track coordinator" and not "track chair" (not reflected yet on the wiki) http://lists.debconf.org/lurker/message/20100311.010149.4ab788c5.en.html We would like to get input and feedback from the global team before we announce this and even perhaps get input from the Debian project. However, we want to post the final call soon it is key to get this out asap so we would appreciate prompt feedback. Biella (on behalf of the talk team). **************************************************** Gabriella Coleman, Assistant Professor Department of Media, Culture, & Communication New York University 239 Greene St, 7th floor NY NY 10003 212-992-7696 http://steinhardt.nyu.edu/faculty_bios/view/Gabriella_Coleman _______________________________________________ Debconf-team mailing list Debconf-team@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-team
