Some switches and patch panels, thats it. the new hacklabs have many ethernet sockets and there is an IT room, which is the suggested big serverroom. It's connected to their uplink, which we will replace by ours. They have some office rooms which should stay connected to their network, but we dont plan to use them anyway. (Sadly) I have no idea how exactly the rooms are connected but as said I assume we can use this cabling. We will definitly need lots of cat5 cable (1km will be too little I'm quite sure) to provide wired and wireless network everywhere we want it. Putting cables outside and inside is definitly no issue, I assume drilling a few (!) holes is also ok, it's an old building where exactly this has been done several times. regards, Holger
