Uhm, well, I guess that different people have different expectations. I think that it's not bad for Debian if some Debian Developers enjoy having a bit more time together. What I do think (and it seems everybody agrees on this one) is that we shouldn't be paying the stay of people that only come to party. > If, like last year, this year's Debcamp is again open to everyone > instead of those who plan to do real work in teams, I will consider > not attending. During DebConf there are quite a bunch of talks, and thus it's not only about socializing, but about communicating what's going on in the project. Also you might consider that for those of us that don't live in Europe, there are very few other possible gatherings we might attend (i.e. very few attend the Extremadura meetings, and none that I know of are able to go to the BBQ or events like that). My point is, DebCamp can be about getting work done for someone AND about partying for someone else, the important thing (for me) is that both groups don't bother each other. Anyway, this looks like something that we should talk about in the next meeting and decide something about it. I'm adding it to the Agenda. -- Besos, Marga _______________________________________________ Debconf-team mailing list Debconf-team@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-team
