It is common in France to announce an install party (that's how we call them
here ^^, sometimes we also say install fest) on the national FOSS events
agenda, l'agenda du libre, https://agendadulibre.org.

To do so, one has to create an account if I remember well (individual or
organisation account, works the same, but if you create let's say the Debian
account then other future Debian events could more easily be associated to it),
then create the event and wait for someone to moderate and issue a moderation
email, sometimes a confirmation, sometimes asking you to complete smth before
final confirmation.

It is better for the body message of the event to also be in french alongside
the english version, an english only version can be kind of an obstacle /
hesitation to people not Boeing vert confident in english, coming. I can help
with it if you need help (if someone can assist me for the exact hours and
location of the event).

Another agenda where we should put the event, is https://mobilizon.org,
Mobilizon being the FOSS tool developed by Framasoft here in France as an
alternative to meetup / facebook. This is quite used in the alternative
communities (not only CS related). Same, I can help, although it is simpler
than the agendadulibre I think to create smth in it.

And last but not least, there are local organisations who do install fests /
party in Brest that we should contact for help / advertise the event in their
circles. I am thinking of Infini who organized for example an install party in
Brest last April <https://www.agendadulibre.org/events/31851>, and then they
should know all the other similar organisations that woild ne interestzd to
share the event. Same, I can help contact them.

I think that fir the mobile install party, if the idea is to have it public
also, should also be announced in these two agendas and to the Infini
organization for having both help in installing and public advertisement. This
is something that in France we do not do a lot, install parties on mobile, and
if we do, we do them with LineageOs or Anroid based ones, so this could be very
useful and interesting for local or other french install organisations to
assist and learn (me including).

Let me know if you need my help to write the events on the agendas or contact
Infini, so I can schedule one hour or two during my actual trip (in Japan, UTC
+ 7).

See u in Brest,

Eda
