If you see a clique who look like they're having fun, and you'd like to
join but you don't know them *do* introduce yourself. One of the
greatest joys of DebConf is meeting all of the new people who come each
year, and just as I remember at my first DebConf in 2004.
This is nice for coincidentally meeting and being happy to find a common
topic to talk about. My intention was more like deliberately seeking a
person with knowledge in a certain topic.
Who writes the software that asks so many questions when peopel register
for Debconf? That software could ask for interest and knowledge topics
as well. Where do I file a wishlist bug for future events?
