thanks for volunteering :) At our workshop we used "current best
practice" to not confuse people any more by gbp vs. bare debian folder
and sbuild vs. pbuilder vs. cowbuilder.
I think most people agree on GBP simply because it abstracts away some
things that is good for newcomers (automatically generation the
changelogs).
In a similar fashion I think sbuild is good insofar the setup from
trixie onwards is pretty simple (apt install sbuild; sbuild
--no-clean-source) (which includes piuparts and linitian).
The more experienced packagers at the workshop the better, so we can
individually help people.
