I'm with you, having booked travel before conference registration opened
on the basis of what [1] said at the time because I was concerned that
fares might go up if I waited too long.  I noted on my registration that
I'd be interested in staying an extra night if possible and have held
off for now on booking lodging in Brest.

FWIW, this schedule change appears to have happened at the last minute;
I double-checked [2] when I registered and saw that its most recent
capture still listed the 20th as just "Last day of DebConf," with a
separate "Departure day" on the 21st.
