Maybe, just it could be, that the bus from Tapei to Hsinchu has stops along the road? The bus company in Taipei would know. Some bus companies even have tables for that. And it could be easier to take a taxi to such stop? When I use Google maps (Taipei to Hsinchu) it could be.
