Those prices do not include taxes and fees on the version of the site you used. If I click "comprar" and then convert the resulting total from Brazilian reals to USD, the US$815 fare from TAP US$1477 at Google's better-than-plausible exchange rate. On the US travel site affiliated with http://www.decolar.com/, which is a spanish-language site at http://www.us.despegar.com/, it shows the same fare as US$815 + taxes and fees = US$1436 total. That also involves two stops between NYC and Zagreb in at least one of the two directions, whereas the options I was exploring included only one stop all the way to and from Banja Luka for not significantly more money if at all. All the other fares were similarly higher once you consider taxes and fees. Also, I won't be able to book the dates you tested with since I'm only free to attend the main DebConf11 week, not DebCamp11, but I got the approximately same prices when I specify a departure on 23/07 instead of 16/07. > Hope it helps you, Sadly not, but I appreciate the effort.
