I don't think that's true. Particularly with modern computerised demand-based price-setting systems, the prices fluctuate over time. Earlier does not always mean cheaper. [...] Why only two? I expect that will mean, for some people, one round could be too early and the other too late. I feel that it would be best to have multiple roughly equally-funded rounds of sponsorship grants and ask people which round(s) they wish to enter based on when their tickets will be available/feasible.
