Hi in case you (seriously) want to present a location for a future DebConf and want to have a mailinglist or website available:
DebConf does provide the space / resources for it, if you want them. You can have hostnames out of the debconf.net domain, either pointing at you or also including hosting. You can also have mailinglists run by DebConf to coordinate your effort. List and hostnames have to reflect your proposal. -- bye, Joerg Some NM: Essential packages are required to provide all of their core functionality even when unconfigured, hence they cannot require libc. Libc therefore is not an essential package.
