I'm Franco Dassi, Professor of the university Milano-Bicocca, I would like to ask you if deal.II contains a module for the Virtual Element Method in 2d and/or 3d.

Hi Franco:
there isn't currently any dedicated support for this, though many of the building blocks are perhaps around. The most important restriction is likely that we currently only support simplex, hypercube, wedge, and pyramid cells. People have implemented all sorts of lifting operators, mapped and unmapped shape functions, and other parts of what makes up the VEM, so I'm pretty sure that can be done. You'd just have to put the different pieces you can find throughout the library together and into a coherent picture. Feel free to ask more concrete questions about individual pieces of the VEM.

Best
 Wolfgang
