The position is in the framework of the PRIN 2017 project
"Modeling the heart across the scales: from cardiac cells to the whole
organ"
coordinated by Alfio Quarteroni.
Objectives of research activity:
- Development of Domain Decomposition (DD) preconditioners for cardiac
electro-mechanical coupling models;
- Implementation of DD preconditioners in a deal.II-based parallel code;
- Generation of patient specific cardiac computational meshes from MRI data;
- Numerical simulation of the cardiac electrical and mechanical activity on
realistic ventricular geometries.
Competences:
- Mathematical modeling;
- Numerical analysis and scientific computing;
- Numerical methods for partial differential equations;
- Parallel programming in C++.
