Not if you have done it correctly. ;-) In the end, the represented operator 
is the same.
Constraints don't change the symmetry either since the matrix A is 
essentially replaced by C^TAC where C repesents the homogeneous part of the 
constraints
(assuming constraints are given as Cx=k).

No, it just accepts a serial SparseMatrix.
