Hi all, deal.II 8.4.2 finally made it into Debian Testing (aka "stretch") which is currently in the "soft freeze" development cycle [1]. With that version 8.4.2 also made it into two Ubuntu releases [2]:
Yakkety Yak (current stable release) Zesty Zapus (active development) Thanks to the awesome work of some members of the Debian Science team I am very happy to announce that this deal.II version comes with a lot of external dependencies enabled, most importantly Umfpack, OpenMPI, P4st, Trilinos and PETSc.
