over the past few years, we have accumulated a good number of issues on deal.II:

Many of these should actually be relatively easy to address if one just sits
down and do the work, assuming one has a bit of knowledge in the area; we have
collected these as "starter projects":

We would like to make some progress with fixing many of the open issues. The
second week of January (8-14) seems as good as any to work on this, and we'd
like anyone who has an interest in deal.II to participate!
If you want to help, just leave a note when you start working on an issue. All
you need is a github account. If you need help with writing your first few
deal.II patches, feel free to ask any of us, or on this very mailing list and
someone will walk you through the steps necessary!
