I have recently started working in the field of solid mechanics,
particularly in the Material Point Method. But for understanding the MPM
method, it is recommended that I have a good understanding of the finite
element method. Some of the books I referred to are very much detailed and
since I am novice in this field I couldn't continue for long.

I came across deal II and its video lectures. I think the focus here is
understanding FEM from the point of view of programming. My programming
knowledge is somewhat okay. Would you guys recommend it for someone just
entering the field of FEM or would you recommend some other textbooks.
