hi, I got finaly running MariaDB Galera whit postfix & dbmail. At moment Evolution dose not work whit dmail-lmtp or dbmail-pop3d but work's whit android tablet K-9.
I will setup this weekend another server that share's same dbmail maridb galera cluster database ( replicated ). Most likely this tandem configuration work's. There will be two macines running dbmail, postfix code,... at fail over one of postfix serevers should be on and maridb galera cluster should keep database update at all machines in real time for dbmail. dbmail version is 3.2.1 At moment only issue whit mariadb I know is at installation: - installation script stops and dose not create all needed databases Also some application do not run whit maridb and compilation against them need's some aragement's to get compiled against mariadb code/libraryes instead of mysql. There is also sql related incompatibilityes. Hope those do not spoil idea! I hope I get dbmail working whit LDAP / apacheDS, due busy whit Master Thesis this will be done first quarter 2015,.. if any intrested to worktogether documentation and testing integration of LDAP whit DBMAIL, KERBEROS, NFS4, OWNCLOUD, SAGE 6.4, BACULUCUM, WEBMIN, Mpich 3.X., rsh-redone and DHCP welcome! Getting such simple idea to work all of them for single signon and easyer installation PUBLIC instruction is very hard due package depencyes, incompatibelityes and bugs at Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. Collection of mixed instructions at http://kurrola.allowed.org/mediawiki/index.php/ApacheDS and result will be published at most application wiki's like dbmail and whole colection at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ApacheDS%20-%20LDAP%20-%20Kerberos% 20-%20NFS4 I have lost lot of time whit problems in this very basic configuration that should install directly from package's !!! So this documentation project should be welcome and I'am not the correct one to that even I try to figure out it. joni On to, 2014-11-27 at 13:44 +0100, Administrator Beckspaced.com wrote: > hello there ;-) > > currently setting up another opensuse 13.2 box, which ships with MariaDB > version 10.0.13 > > can anyone tell me if dbmail will run fine with this version of mariaDB? > is there any experience, yet? > > or would it just be better to use the mysql-community-server version 5.6.17? > > i heard people tend to switch to mariaDB? > > any thoughts on that topic would be more than welcome ;-) > > thanks & all the best > becki > > _______________________________________________ > DBmail mailing list > DBmail@dbmail.org > http://mailman.fastxs.nl/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dbmail _______________________________________________ DBmail mailing list DBmail@dbmail.org http://mailman.fastxs.nl/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dbmail
