atomic or not - it would be better to apply a new field on a view
non-atomic than see no messages at all in random mail clients

what makes it really hard is that every random client is using
other commands and i did not have any problem with thunderbird
while roundcubemail stopped to list any message

giving this who knows what mail client works currently or how
broken is it since i can hardly test any client out there :-)
