I wasn't able to reproduce it either.But there was a message from dbmail-util that 32 headers where not cached. What a coincidence....
Not convinced that this is a dbmail problem.I'm finding with some of my testing and behaviour that what appears to be a problem with dbmail isn't. I open the same folder under a web mail application and everything is fine.
