Hi, It may be something broken in the Makefiles that generates the wrong library names. Linux often wants libdbmail.so.0 rather than libdbmail.0 etc. When ldconfig is run, it doesn't seem to recognise the libraries unless you rename to .so. That was the case on Adamantix (Debian based) at least. You may have to do the same to the libs in lib/dbmail/ as well.
