Hello,

I am new to DbMail. I intend to use it as a local storage system for my
mail, as I have large folders (tens of thousands of messages).

As it's local storage only, I will use a non-standard port above 1024.
So I don't need to run dbmail-imapd as root.

I have set the EFFECTIVE_USER and EFFECTIVE_GROUP settings in
/etc/dbmail.conf , yet the process is still shown in top as "root". And
if I try to start it from a non-root prompt, it simply does not start.

How do I set it to non-root?

Yours, Mikhail Ramendik
