I have DBMail 1.27 installed on a small network with a MySQL-InnoDB backend. I converted my mail services six months, or so ago, and even with my small number of users my InnoDB tables fragmented pretty quickly. I am no expert with databases and had no idea that InnoDB tables needed to be defragmented periodically.
I ran "ALTER TABLE messageblks TYPE=InnoDB" from a MySQL client recently, and the size of the index reduced by 700 MB. I was wondering if an InnoDB deframenting option could be built in to the dbmail-maintenance program. It would make it much easier to remember to do it periodically, and easier to schedule with cron. -- Alex Yamauchi Access Innovations, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] phone: (505) 265-3591, ext. 144 fax: (505) 256-1080
