debian woody package ??
btw,
at the install of 1.2.6 for woody on testing the installation fails because
at the end then dbmail is started, you don't return to prompt.
Now why do you want to install the woody package on testing when there is a
sarge/testing package. Testing is currently at 1.2.5, and when I can spare some
time 1.2.7a will be build and uploaded to master, but it's already available at
debian.nfgd.net.
However, the init script tries very hard to avoid what you describe. Could you
please uncomment the _debug in the persistent_start function at line 76, and
send me the output of the '/etc/init.d/dbmail start' command.
Btw, I just uploaded the backport for woody as well to debian.nfgd.net.
