Hey, To start with, I'm not familiar with syslog functions, but I seem to have found the problem:
Seems that this line in my /etc/syslog.conf logs to the console "*.notice root" But is that a notice???, aint that info??? Longer above there is the line that logs the rest of my mailsystem logs to /var/log/maillog "mail.info /var/log/maillog" Or does info also cover the notice thingy? But it seems to be solved now // ouT > -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- > Fra: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] På vegne af Privat-MIS > Sendt: 18. marts 2004 13:05 > Til: 'DBMail mailinglist' > Emne: SV: [Dbmail] Logs to Screen....arghh > > Hey, > > Hmmm, a little mistake from here, it logs to maillog, but > also to the screen.... :-( > > Like I wrote in the last mail, I'm running OpenBSD 3.3-Stable > and the syslog deamon that follows with the system. > > Strange, maybe its just me, just wanted to know if other had > the same problem. > > // ouT > > > -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- > > Fra: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] På vegne af Patrick > > Sendt: 18. marts 2004 12:43 > > Til: DBMail mailinglist > > Emne: Re: [Dbmail] Logs to Screen....arghh > > > > Hi, > > > > Have you checked to see that your syslog proggie is > acutally logging > > it to a file ? > > > > What operating system are you using as well as what syslog > daemon are > > you running ? > > > > P > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Ilja Booij" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > To: "DBMail mailinglist" <dbmail@dbmail.org> > > Sent: Thursday, March 18, 2004 1:38 PM > > Subject: Re: [Dbmail] Logs to Screen....arghh > > > > > > | Strange, > > | > > | I've never seen DBMail log to screen, only to /var/log/maillog or > > | /var/log/mail.log > > | > > | Does /var/log/maillog exist on your system?
