As far as I know, this is simply not possible.

The username is not transferred in the SMTP connection. So when the user will 
try to send mail, it is not possible to authenticate it against a user field 
because the username is simply not provided by the client.. 

Second, why would you need this anyway? If only one of the 100 employees as to 
do the pop-before-smtp thing, who cares, since everyone on this IP is allowed 
anyway since they're all employees?

Remember that the pop before smtp thing is only a hack. If you want real 
thight control over your stmp users you should use SMTP auth (SASL), which 
will force relayers to identify with a username / password.
